There are many areas with high fire safety requirements.
Non-combustible foams are of high interest to transport industries, acoustic and soundproofing equipment manufacturers, furniture manufacturers, and filter producers.
Furniture manufacturers developing an export business should be aware of the legal conditions in the EU or other destination countries. In many cases, exported furniture must have international certification of fire resistance. Most often, every furniture element, including polyurethane foam, is subject to certification.
Interfoam Group offers a wide range of foams with modified flammability. It is worth noting that even among the variety of non-combustible brands, certain nuances are worth considering.
HIGHFOAM® СMHR is a range of highly elastic HIGHFOAM™ grades of modified flammability foam. The entire HIGHFOAM®СMHR range is FIRA-certified and can be used in the manufacture of furniture that meets the most stringent British and Irish fire safety standards, as well as in the manufacture of upholstered elements with strict requirements for reduced flammability.
HIGHFOAM® SAFE is a non-combustible brand of high-comfort foams of HR type created specifically for the transport industry, particularly railways. The new HIGHFOAM® SAFE brand has successfully passed all the necessary tests, which are documented by the Fire Safety Research Centre of the Ukrainian National Institute of Civil Protection.
HIGHFOAM® RETARDANT is a range of polyurethane foam grades with modified flammability properties. It can be used as a soundproofing material, packaging material with moderate flame spread requirements, and furniture with fire safety requirements (e.g. cinemas).
On request, Interfom Group technologists also develop polyurethane foams with additional properties and alternative physical and mechanical characteristics. Depending on the product’s goals and requirements, new developments can also undergo appropriate certification by agreement with the client.
